View allIs gelatin halal?
It depends on the source. Plant, fish, or gelatin from a halal-slaughtered animal is generally permissible. Pork gelatin is the split: some scholars treat industrial processing as a complete transformation (istihala) that makes it permissible, while others say pork remains forbidden. Prefer a halal-certified product and follow your madhhab.
DependsIs shellfish halal?
The majority of scholars permit all seafood, including shrimp, crab, lobster, and mussels. The Hanafi school generally allows true fish and is stricter on other sea creatures; shrimp is internally debated. Ja'fari law typically allows fish with scales and shrimp according to several maraji', but not scaleless shellfish. Follow your school, not a restaurant slogan.

View allAre credit cards halal?
A conventional credit card is typically haram to sign because the contract includes riba if you pay late, and often extra fees above real cost. Paying in full every month does not erase a clause that obliges interest. Prepaid and debit cards that spend your own money are generally allowed. Some scholars permit a card in true necessity when no alternative exists and you will not incur interest. Islamic cards without a riba clause are the intended substitute.
DependsIs Bitcoin halal?
Spot buying and holding Bitcoin can be permissible when you actually receive the coins, there is no leverage, and you are not gambling on contracts for difference. Many earlier fatwas were cautious because the asset was unclear. Later answers allow crypto that is exchanged immediately and free of riba, futures, and options. Mining and long-term holding are assessed separately from leveraged trading.
DependsIs investing in stocks halal?
Buying shares can be halal when the company itself is a lawful business and you are not financing riba or haram trade. Shares in banks, alcohol, gambling, or similar industries are forbidden. Mixed companies — lawful products plus interest-bearing loans or deposits — are where scholars split. Screen the business, avoid leverage, and purify dividends if your school requires it.

View allIs getting a tattoo halal?
A permanent tattoo is haram across the major schools. It changes the creation of Allah and is condemned in authentic hadith. Temporary surface dyes such as henna are generally allowed if they are harmless and free of prohibited images. Someone who already has a tattoo should repent; removal is required only if it is safe and reasonably possible.
HaramIs music halal?
Scholars disagree. The majority view in the four Sunni schools forbids musical instruments, with a limited exception for the plain daff at weddings and Eid. Unaccompanied singing with decent lyrics is often allowed. Some later and Ja'fari voices permit music that is not vain, erotic, or distracting from worship. Nasheed without instruments is the cautious option.
